Dior Cruise 16

Set in the Le Palais Bulles is just that—a palace of terra-cotta bubbles set into a cliffside halfway between Cannes and Monaco, Raf Simmons presented his collection for Cruise 16.

The atmosphere the house loaned to the evening was utterly appropriate. “Playful, sweet…childish, almost,” said Raf Simmons.

The Dior heritage was evident throughout the show—the low-heeled, pointed shoes,  Dior’s classic femme fleur was abstracted in shimmering, crystal-strewn florals or, most spectacularly, in the net overdresses that restrained pleated underskirts took my breath away! I love that there was shape, but there was also ease.

Here’s a quick look at my favorite looks from the show!

The texture on these looks is worth killing for!

….and i cant help but LOVE these chic silhouettes!

I Love how Raf went crazy with Plaid –  the hardy print may not be synonymous with beachy, Cruise glamour but trust  Simons to reinvent it – he whipped it into sweet yet structured sundresses with a touch of Bardot to them, slouchy trousers, and faintly Victorian blouses.

Take a bow, Raf, your collection was fantastic!

Did you love it as much as I did? Let me know in the comments below!
