Here’s a solution for those of us that love print. Fashion Week catwalks have shown us the solution to having too much choice: patch it all together.
High fashion splicing and dicing was all over the spring runways, and it’s never looked cooler. From mixed vintage fabrics to a stacking of summer prints, this season’s take on the trend is modern and sexy.
Take a look at my personal favorites:
Embracing the tropical trend is all about capitalising on the bold colours of summer.
That’s exactly what many fashion houses seem to have emmulated this season. Right from Tommy Hilfiger- who was all about those relaxed beach holiday vibes for SS16 with a collection that made us want to climb into the nearest hammock immediately. Featuring an abundance of bucket hats, tropical prints, crocheted swimsuits and colourful hair wraps.
Then there’s my all time favourite Jimmy Choo, whose current vibe is looking upward with a vibrant, upbeat collection that takes inspiration from California sky-gazing. Statement graphics of palm trees meld with bold architectural gestures to create a collection that is uninhibited and teems with care-free glamour.
While I can go on and on about why I simply love this tropical trend, I’de much rather show you exactly what I love…

Taking inspiration from the most famous athletic brands, Sliders seem to be gaining popularity .
Sure, they’re not the prettiest shoes in the world, but the pool slider is your footwear staple for the season!
In case you’ve banished all memories of the low-key shoe staple to the back of your mind, let me refresh your memory as to what the term ‘pool slider’ actually means. They’re the chunky soled, thick strapped shoe that used to be the ‘sole’ domain of Olympic swimmers. But, after being seen on countless runways, including Chloe, Gucci and many more, the pool slider is definitely back in vogue – and, thank goodness, have been given a fashion fab update for today’s market.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Italian-made cotton coat is one of my favorite ways to shield ourselves from inclement weather.
Pretty and practical, it is coated with waterproof PU and decorated with orange blossoms in shades of green, white and yellow. This piece is fully lined in polka-dot satin for a smooth finish. Don’t you love it?

The lace-up front ensures a secure and personalized fit at every part of the foot; and makes sure you can walk easy. Wear them with cropped pants or skirts to keep the tassels in view.
