India’s most anticipated award show, Filmfare took place over this weekend, and while everybody’s excited about the awards they’re winning – what excites me the most is the outfits they chose! Here’s a round- up of my favorite looks our Bollywood starlets sported.
Top 3 Men’s Looks:
This Pakistani heartthrob played it safe in a Dior Suit, Armani Shirt and Dolce and Gabbana shoes – would have loved to see him in an electric blue suit, perhaps.
This young Bollywood prodigy cashed in on the monochrome trend and stepped out in a white Emporio Armani Suit, paired with a black tie and black shoes. What I absolutely love about this outfit though, is the little pop of color the red lapel pin brings!
What’s not to love about a man in a well tailored Tuxedo! Love the tailoring, love the bow tie, love everything!
Top 3 Women’s Looks:
Bollywood’s reigning fashionista never gets it wrong! Her Anamika Khanna ensemble just knocked it out of the park! The ornate embroidery and the organza tissue cape that lends a slight sheen was accentuated just the right amount of jewelry.
Everyone was waiting on the edge of their seats to see what Bollywood reigning queen would come to the awards in! She chose a gown by a Lebanese designer – Ashi Studio. While I love the fitted embroidered bodice, the bottom half lacked the pizzazz the top half had.
This lovely lady definitely broke necks while she walked down the red carpet in this Nikhil Thampi pant suit. That plunging neckline and the glamorous cape with that gold waist belt was just perfection!
Have a favorite that isn’t listed, let me know who and what you loved about them in the comments below!
Last year’s infatuation with the crop top is back for another round this season!
What better time than to break the crop top myth that’s been the cause for distress for almost every woman.
Myth 1: The crop top trend is not for everyone.
Truth: Trust me, it is! You just need to embrace it, keeping in mind your body type.
Myth 2: Every Girl needs the perfect ab’s to pull off a crop top.
Truth:Yet Another misconception. All you need to know is what to cover and what you not! Just play along your strengths and cover your weaknesses!
Here’s a look into the different ways to work the crop top! You’re sure to find some ideas to work around looking at these!

Last Night’s Vogue Fashion Night out was EVERYTHING I expected and much MORE!
The Music was groovy, the vibe was buzzing, people were dressed their best and as per usual, the bubbly was flowing all night long!
Store activities were at their best this time around, there was something for each and everyone!
Here’s a look at some of my favourites from last night:
I’m all for the new summer trend of an all white look.
A little splash of color however, never killed nobody. Right?
Take the all white look to another level with just the right amount of colour.
Here are some of my favourite picks this summer!
The IIFA’s are upon us!
Social media is filled to the brim with images of celebrities all dressed in their red carpet best.
Here’s who made the cut…
These ladies really got their accessories right. I’ve given them all 3 stars each. They look absolutely stunning.
From L-R: Sonakshi Sinha carrying Jimmy Choo, Sonakshi Sinha carrying Bottega Veneta, Dia Mirza carrying Jimmy Choo
Kareena Kapoor Khan really made us sit up and look! She looked absolutely gorgeous in the Giorgio Armani separates she wore to Magic of The Movies at IIFA and super chic in another Giorgio Armani number with a plunging neckline. 3 stars!
Kareena Kapoor Khan
I expected a bit more from Miss Padukone. Her Sabya was way too OTT but her Zuhair Murad was hot and very Hollywood. She looked like she’d just walked out from the Oscar’s.
This is one trend that’s been carried forward all the way from the roaring 20’s.
The jazz age when it was all about the parties and the jewelley, why leave out your head?
From the runway, straight to the red carpet as well as real life, it’s all about the hair accessories.
You can even wear them in the day, take Dolce & Gabbana’s floral headband and pair it with a flowy white dress – the perfect summer look.
For the evening, take cue from Carey Mulligan in the Great Gatsby. While she wore Tiffany, get yourself some Outhouse and Deepa Gurnani.
The traditional Maang Tikka gives an additional Indian touch to your traditional outfits; take it one step further with Sabyasachi’s embroidered hair bands.
Everyone came out in their formal best for the Filmfare Awards this weekend.
I picked out the best, the worst and the snazziest from the lot.
