Last week, one of my favorite menswear designers Sir Paul Smith received France’s highest honor, recognizing his “indelible mark on French fashion”
The British designer was presented with the Légion d’Honneur – the highest distinction in France – by the French Ambassador, Sylvie Bermann, during a ceremony at the French Residence in London. On average only 10 Brits receive a Légion d’honneur each year.
In his twenties Paul Smith opened a tiny shop in Nottingham in 1970, called Paul Smith Vetements pour Hommes, and then six years later he showed his first menswear collection in Paris. He continued to have a strong connection with Paris throughout his career and still regularly shows his menswear collection in Paris Fashion Week.
Congratulations Sir Paul, You’ve really out done yourself!
Such an honor to meet the man himself!
It all started with a bang, Creative Director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, took the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards together with his friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn, who were both said to be wearing pieces that will be retailed at H&M stores.
At the Billboard Music Awards! This is just a sneak peak!!
It’s all in the details.
Creative Genius Oliver Rousteing
If this is just a glimpse of what’s to come – I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this collection in November!!
YES! You heard it right!
Bollywood actress and fashionista, Sonam Kapoor was among the special guests invited to attend luxury fashion house Giorgio Armani’s, Privé showcase of the Spring Summer’15 collection at Paris Fashion Week which took place at Palais de Tokyo on Tuesday 27th January, 2015.
The actress, currently in Paris, graced the front row at the show and opted for a gorgeous ensemble from the Giorgio Armani SS’15 collection.
