The countdown to 2016 begins now and I find myself wondering what trends will be hot, not, or shelved.
It’s very hard to forecast what will be in-vogue, however, 2015 has given us some solid trends we aren’t ready to let go of. Here’s a quick round up of 5 trends i believe will carry us through the next season!
The sleek and sophisticated construction of this shoe not only makes an outfit instantly chic, but elongates your legs. Definitely a win-win!
You’ve probably got one (or a few) trusty crossbody bags by now. From adorable mini buckets to chic and sophisticated top-handle bags, don’t think that a small crossbody can’t make a big statement.
Initially the only options you had is hoops or studs? With an ever expanding jewelry vocabulary, and ear jewelry especially you may feel a sudden urge to visit your local piercing studio.
From printed daytime playsuits to gorgeous going out lace playsuits it’s my new go-to ensemble and the perfect alternative to wearing a dress to a party.
Ripped jeans have officially established themselves as a wardrobe staple. From celebrities to fashionistas – everyone LOVES this trend, and I don’t think we’re going to let go of it so easily

I’ve always admired this trend – it makes any piece look edgy instantly! It’s the easiest way to take an extremely formal outfit from bordering on boring, to chic.
The mantra here is “Just add some studs” ; whether it’s a bag, shoes or a jacket – the studs do the trick!
Here’s a quick round up of my absolutely favorite studded merchandise for this season!
1) Valentino – Rockstud metallic textured-leather point-toe flats
This modern classic went from being an edgy piece to an absolute must-have
2) Jimmy Choo – Riley studded leather shoulder bag
When one of my favorite brands encompasses my favorite trend – it most definitely is a match made in heaven
3) MAJE – Jacob fringed studded suede mini skirt
This suede skirt is finished with silver studs and fringing to accentuate and soften the thigh-grazing hem. Pair with a plain white button down to look effortlessly chic.
4) MCM- TANTRIS ZIPPED CROSSBODY WALLET
For those who cant commit to the trend completely, but want to give it a shot – this wallet is perfect. The pretty pastels coupled with the studs is the ideal combination.
5) PRADA: Studded cat-eye acetate sunglasses
Prada’s signature cat-eye sunglasses are embellished with silver studs to emphasize the flattering shape. Wear yours with everything from LBDs to biker jackets.

The word in footwear for the season is options. From chic flats to lace-ups, sky-high platforms, graphic beauties, but my two favorite trends are espadrilles and sliders.

In the age of micro-trends, sometimes you blink and the trend has already passed – but if the Couture Runways are anything to go by, sneakers are here to stay!
Gone are the days you have to wear sky high heels and excruciating stilettos — Comfortable sneakers have got fashionista’s flocking to sports stores.
Everyone from Rihanna to Cara Delevigne are rocking this trend –
But how do mere mortals like us, look this amazing? Here’s a quick guide –
Lady Like with a Twist:
Definitely the hottest look for Spring: Ladylike with a Twist! Demure Hemlines are in, but forget prim and proper, put your best foot forward in quirky tennis shoes!
There’s no better way to update your suit for spring, than with a pair of fun sneakers like my favorite model Cara Delevigne has! I personally recommend wearing colorful and interesting sneakers with different textures, just to make the suit pop and add some extra detail!
Pair a monochrome ensemble and add a metallic twist with these uber chic sneakers!
I’m putting my best foot forward, are you?
The battle of the bags never end do they?
It’s always a battle for every woman, what’s more important? Is it the look, the functionality or just the brand name?
Well for what it’s worth, I like to segregate my bags very simply..it’s either structered or slouchy for me (for the day of course)
For a more corporate chic look, I’de pick a classic structered bag like a classic Celine
For a boho and more relaxed get up, it has to be a casual slouchy that gets you through the day with ease. My Bottega has got to be my all time favourite.
YES! It’s really that simple ladies…
So tell me which one are you?
‘Tis the season to be jolly..don’t we all just adore Christmas!
Embody the festive spirit this evening, with a little help from few of my favorite things what would make the festivities even more glamorous!
Wishing all you wonderful people a merry merry Christmas!
P.S. Don’t forget to add that dash off style to your ensemble tonight!
We often associate a Luxury brand with the words opulence, extravagance, grandeur, so on and so forth!
What we tend to miss out on many a times is the initiatives taken by them in order to better our environment.
Yesterday, I happened to have stumbled upon an article which emphasized on how the Kering, the international powerhouse that houses the likes of brands such as Saint Laurent, Gucci, Bottega Veneta & Alexander McQueen to name a few, has most recently created a Materials Innovation Lab, an ‘in house’ centre dedicated to the research and development of sustainable and innovative textiles and made it available to it’s brands.
This got me interested into digging some more, here are some of the sustainable initiatives that some of the most Influential luxury brands out there are undertaking today!
Stella McCartney: McCartney’s line of eyewear is produced out of materials such as caster-oil seeds and citric acid. She has also taken the lead in environmentally friendly fashion by launching a new faux leather line that is created with over 50% vegetable oil.
Armani: Mr Armani, was featured on the list of designers to utilize environmentally friendly textiles such as hemp in his creations.
Valentino: Valentino released a statement stating that the fashion house will be eliminating all hazardous chemicals that are used throughout the entire production cycle by January 2020. In 2012, Valentino custom made a dress out of recycled bottles for The Help actress, Viola Davis that appeared stunning on the red carpet at the BAFTA awards
Pretty damn amazing right?
